Get ready to “Whoop It Up” with the brand new single from Scottish rock/alternative outfit OVERHAUL just released via TLGRock/Virgin Music.
C0-written by guitarist and lead vocalist Andy Gallagher of OVERHAUL along with Trace Foster of Close Enemies, “Whoop It Up” offers an adrenalized, full-throttle rock experience with pounding, high-speed drums and plenty of tasty guitar work.
Jeff Worley of JACKYL joins in on the action, providing searing lead guitar passages to complement the fist-pumping pace of the rocked out number.
First formed in 1997, OVERHAUL is a three-piece rock group which brings a convergence of influences from artists of both the United States and Scotland. The band has toured extensively over the course of its quarter-century existence, taking their signature melodic guitar licks to festivals throughout both Europe and America.
During this time the band has performed bills alongside the likes of highly popular acts such as Dinosaur Jr., Bob Mould of Hüsker Dü and Sugar Lagnhorne Slim, Grant Hart of Hüsker Dü, Ken Stringfellow of R.E.M. and The Posies, and many others.
The upcoming full-length album from OVERHAUL features a number of special guest appearances from the likes of Dan Murphy of The Scarlet Goodbye and formerly of Soul Asylum and Golden Smog, Jeff Worley of JACKYL and Worley the Pirate, and Trace Foster of Close Enemies, who has also worked with rock heavyweights such as The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, and Black Sabbath’s Geezer Butler.
The band will also be rolling out yet another new single next month in the form of “Happy Little Rocker,” due out March 7, 2025. The upcoming track will feature Dan Murphy of The Scarlet Goodbye, who recently released their own pair of singles, “Speedway” and “To Feel the Sun” ahead of the group’s sophomore album El Camino Adios also set to his shelves in March through The Label Group/Virgin Music.
