Indie rock west coast unit Pleasure Pill is fulfilling the promise of 90s Brit-pop with the band’s latest single, “Line Up the Stars,” released on Friday.
”Line Up the Stars” finds the band flexing its harmonic muscles at the cross-section of nostalgia and modernity. The tune’s punch, up-tempo feel made it the obvious choice to become named the lead single from Pleasure Pill’s upcoming debut studio album, Hang a Star, also announced Friday and due out this summer.
“With its bright and upbeat nature, ‘Line Up The Stars’ was always meant to be the lead single,” says Pleasure Pill vocalist Jonah Paz of the band’s most recent release. “Meant for the dance floor at midnight, it’s our take on club meets rock’n’roll.”
Hang a Star is slated to see release on June 27, 2025, through À La Carte Records, while lead single “Line Uo the Stars” is currently available to stream on all major platforms.
