The band’s first full length album release in years, the long-awaited Face Full of Cake brings the Spin Doctors’ legacy full circle with a sound that is equal parts modern and nostalgic. Lead-up singles such as “Still a Gorilla” and “Rock n’ Roll Heaven” came as the first indicators of what the 90s legends would bring to the table in the musical landscape of 2025.

With the classic Spin Doctors bite and inventive rhythmic sensibility, Face Full of Cake is sure to come as a particularly sweet addition to the collection of any longtime fan.

MAX MCNOWN – “ST. HELENS ALPENGLOW”

Straight out of the Nashville scene, singer-songwriter Max McNown is making waves with his latest single, “St. Helens Alpenglow.” The guitar and banjo laced tune touches on lost love and the inherent value in the connections we build with others, even when those relationships don’t necessarily end the way we had initially expected or hope for them to.

“St. Helens Alpenglow follows the release of last month’s “Call Me if You Miss Me,” expanding upon the sound informing McNown’s sophomore effort, Night Driving which was released in January via Fugitive Records.

The track and its parent album each find Cleary working collaboratively with his ensemble of New Orleans all-star musicians dubbed the Absolute Monster Gentlemen. Together, the band have worked diligently to continue and build upon the rich musical heritage of New Orleans.

THE FREEDOM AFFAIR – “DON’T YOU WANNA LOVE ME”
