Indie songsmith Noah Floersch has released has a brand new single “Growing Everything Out” via Concord Records on Thursday.
The 26-year-old musician, who has gained attention for past releases such as “Loneliest Girl in the World,” “Ghost of Chicago,” and “The Bird Song,” has come through with yet another earworm single in the form of his most recent release.
The track explores the notion of stepping back and letting go of control for a time, taking on a more complex psychological position lyrically that contrasts nicely with the more hopeful musical architecture of the tune.
Floersch says that the single simultaneously takes on the notion of loss and victory, and was composed as a means of working through his own mental state.
“’Growing Everything Out’ is as much about admitting defeat as it is about overcoming the trials and tribulations of life,” Floersch said of the song. “It was originally written as a way to process my own stagnation and rough appearance, but over time, the song’s vulnerability turned into empowerment.”
The Omaha, Nebraska-based artist incorporates a satisfying blend of folk, pop, and rock in his work, and will be releasing a full-length project on the heels of “Growing Everything Out” later in the year.
”Growing Everything Out” is streaming now.
