Singer, songwriter, and musician S.G. Goodman has delivered a new music video accompanying the third single from her upcoming album release.

The track, “Snapping Turtle,” comes just over a month prior to the release Goodman’s forthcoming full-length release, Planting By the Signs, which is set for a June 20, 2025, release through Goodman’s Slough Water Records / Thirty Tigers imprint.

Reflecting a particularly turbulent period emotionally for the songwriter, “Snapping Turtle” details the process of Goodman’s coming to grips with the unchangeable and the relentlessly unwavering uncertainty of navigating events of both the past and future.

“That song came to me as seasons that have passed, and is a window into my process of understanding the impact of moving through time and in understanding how it shapes you and others, as well as reconciling with both a past and future where certain factors were out of your control,” Goodman says of the single.

”It’s a seamless story, with no true chorus, much like my persistent dreams and conversations in therapy.”

“Snapping Turtle” follows preceding single releases “Fire Sign” and “Satellite” as listeners and Goodman herself approach the anticipated release of Planting By the Signs, the first album by S.G. Goodman to see release in three years.

“Snapping Turtle,” along with “Satellite” and “Fire Sign” are currently available for streaming on all major platforms.
