Singer and songwriter Jake Banfield is mixing it up for his major label debut for EMPIRE. Open Bars is set to hit shelves this month, with the release slated for September 26, 2025.

 

Banfield is somewhat of an anomaly in the popular music scene. Originally eyeing a career in basketball, a sidelining injury forced a turn to guitar and consequently to music as a whole as a means of escape and fulfillment. He would make his way to Los Angeles where he would pen hits for the likes of Madison Beer and other artists. He then would set up shop in Nashville to hone his craft as a songwriter and artist.

 

The artist is now rolling out his fully-formed expression by way of his major label debut album, Open Bars. Described as a blend of 90s hip-hop, R&B, and 2000s pop music, listeners characterize Open Bars as, “the alluring album….full of bangers and ballads that will leave you in the mood to party and forget about your ex while fighting the urge to call ’em up.”

 

Fans are set to get one more taste of what is to come from the record through the release of upcoming single, “Still Feels the Same.” The track will drop next week on Friday, September 12, 2025, and will feature contributions from RaeLynne.”

 

Jake is currently touring in support of Uncle Kracker, Conner Smith, and Cooper Alan. Open Bars is set for release on September 26, 2025.
