Nashville indie artist Ferguson announces new album, ‘NEVER IN MY LIFE’

Singer-songwriter FERGUSON has been making a splash on the Indie scene. The Nashville-based musician will be bringing listeners a true statement of intent this fall with the release of his upcoming full-length LP, Never in My Life.

 

Due out on September 26, 2025, the album has been in the works for nearly half a decade, with FERGUSON going to great lengths to ensure the appropriate execution of his artistic vision. The album’s first single, “ON A DIME (COCO IS HIGH)” provides an early glimpse of what listeners can expect from the project.

The single itself, a collision between indie and power-pop sensibilities, draws lyrical inspiration from a gag directed at a friend of FERGUSON’s who was feeling particularly light thanks to some medically administered anesthetics.

 

 

“I had written this tune for a friend of mine after I picked her up from surgery,” The singer said of the song. “She was still loopy from the anesthesia so, in an attempt to make her laugh, I sat down and recorded a demo on her computer entitled “Coco Is High”. Although sort of a joke, I couldn’t shake this melody and rhythm. So when we were looking for one last song to record for the record, I reworked the lyrics and added this chorus and wahla!”
“ON A DIME (COCO IS HIGH)” is available to stream now. Never in My Life is scheduled to see release on September 26, 2025, through the Orchard imprint.
